I am passionate about teaching and showing single women how to find, purchase and finance real estate.  I’m also passionate about telling people that owning real estate isn’t for everyone.  It’s not going to automatically make you rich. I always hated those housing buy, flip, get rich TV shows.   Probably because when I was a lender, I saw a lot of fraud in the buy and flip scheme.   For most people, the ‘get rich’ part doesn’t happen.

The purpose of my blog, and my book, is to educate and inspire you.  Empower you.  Women are a big force in the real estate market. It’s time for us to be educated.  I’ll share my thoughts on the market and my knowledge of the industry.

Whether it’s your first home or your third investment property, you can learn something here.  And if you’ve learned something in your life about finding, buying and financing real estate, please share it with the readers.

I’m also a dynamic public speaker.  I speak to groups about Women and Real Estate, as well as talk on Sales & Motivational issues.  If your group is interested in having me speak, or you would like more information, please drop me a line.

By the way, I’m also passionate about Toastmasters.  If you have a fear of speaking in public or would like to improve your communication skills, check out a meeting!  No matter what your skill level, Toastmasters will improve it.

I’ve been an entrepreneur my entire adult life — from owning a photography company, a road & bridge construction supply company (really!), to a nationwide wholesale lending firm.  I was once a real estate agent.   I love small business and salute anyone who has had to make a payroll — whether for one person or one hundred.  It’s such a rewarding, but tough, way of life!

I’m an active member of West Austin Toastmasters,  Rotary Club of Austin, Commercial Real Estate Women and Real Estate Council of Austin, among others.  This year I serve as past president of the Westlake Chamber of Commerce.
